Commoditie Booking

Commoditie Booking is a, well, booking company out of St. Augustine Florida headed by Nick Haneman. My band, Hot Hands, has played their main venue, Nobby's twice. Both shows were met with lots of smiling beach kids, banging their heads and crowd surfing like crazy. Smaller towns are pretty much always the best kept secret when deciding on where to venture out with your band on tour. They appreciate the effort much more and show up excited to see some bands while having fun getting drunk with their good friends. With St. Augustine, we not only had that, but the beach within minutes and all the Florida history of Ponce De Leon and the Fountain Of Youth you could stomach. We even hung around the fort and watched a cannon go off.
These pins are part of the tour packs that I made for the bands, etc that helped us along the way.
This one is based on a poster for a show Commoditie put on with Natural Child. I made Phil Collins' eyes red in the button version.

These are with the Commoditie Booking logo, done in a few different colors.

The Blue Rajas

The Blue Rajas are a two piece band from Richmond, Virginia that my band, Hot Hands was lucky enough to play with (also with great Richmond band, Hot Dolphin) in April while on our tour. They're also sisters, Zoe and Gracie, who play guitar and drums and sing the most fun, poppy and danceable party music. They even do their own cover of The Blue Hearts' "Linda Linda" (its also done by an all girl group in a film of the same name) which is originally in Japanese.
Zoe had the genius to do her own English translation which is slightly unlike the original version. That technique reminds of Ronnie Bird, a French Rock/Pop singer from the 1960s. He would adapt lots of English language songs into his native French, even if the lyrics didn't match up for the most part, as long as they made melodic sense.
(Ronnie's cover of "Don't Bring Me Down" by the Pretty Things which he translates into "Tu Perds Ton Temps" or "You're Wasting My Time"

As a part of our thank you's to each band that helped us along the way, Jeffrey suggested that I create special button packs for them. I was a little rushed, so I didn't do the best job I could have done, but each band was really excited and thankful. I should have made some for Eureka, California, who helped us out a bunch in Athens. That was an unfortunate oversight on my part due to all the craziness that comes with preparing for a tour. I hope I didn't forget anyone else.

This is a photo that I lifted off The Blue Rajas Facebook page and made three different colors.

This is a cover of a pulp novel. I unfortunately didn't save the original so I'm not sure of what the actual title of the book is.

This last one is from a pulp/adult book called "Dykes On Bikes"
